Circulation policy for full-time faculty, staff and administrators

You must have your Trinity I.D. to check-out material.

Click on "My Account" in TrinCat to see due dates and to renew items.

Fines greater than $5 must be paid before you can check out any more material. This includes fines from I-Share libraries.

Books:

  • 3 month loan period (91 days)
  • 2 renewal periods of 3 months each (91 days each). 
  • New books: 1 week loan period (7 days)
  • All books can be recalled at any time. Fines on recalled items: 50¢ per day

Media (Cassettes, CDs, DVDs, and Videos):

  • 14 day loan period
  • 2 renewal periods of 14 days

2-Hour Reserves:

  • Loan period: 120 minutes
  • 1 renewal period of 120 minutes

1 Day Reserves:

  • Loan period:  1 Day
  • No renewals

Items from other libraries:

  • Due dates and renewal periods are determined by the lending library.
  • For items requested through I-Share, fines are determined by the lending library.  See the policies for I-Share libraries
  • For items requested through WorldCat, the following fines apply:
    • Fines: 25¢ per day
    • Fines on Recalled Items: 50¢ per day
    • Articles: $1.00 per article

Lost Item Fees
Patrons are responsible for materials they have checked out. When an item is 30 days overdue it is considered lost. Lost items are billed to your account on the following scale:
 

  • Cost of item plus $15 processing fee for items still in print
  • $100.00 fee per item for which a replacement cannot be found plus a $15.00 processing fee
  • Replacement of a TIU cassette: $10.00 plus a $15.00 processing fee
