How do I automatically forward my emails to another account?
You can create a rule in GroupWise that automatically forwards all email from your Trinity Groupwise email account to whatever personal email account you are using (e.g. aol, hotmail, yahoo, etc.). If you don't know your username/password see this page for instructions on how to obtain them.
Using the GroupWise Client On-Campus
(Located on all the computer in the campus Computer Labs.)
- Click Tools, Rules, New.
- Type a name in the Rule Name box, such as "Hotmail Rule" if you are forwarding to your Hotmail account.
- Click the "When Event Is" pop-up list, click "New Item."
- Next to "And Items Are," select "Received." Make sure no other item source is selected.
- Do not make any selections under "Item Types."
- Click on "Add Action" and pick "Forward."
- This will open a box where you can type in your alternate email address.
- Click OK and then Save, to save your rule.
Using the Online version
- Open http://mail.tiu.edu/
- Click on the options button located to the right of the GroupWise header.
- Click on "Rules" in the top menu bar
- Select "Forward" in the drop down menu box.
- Click on "Create"
- Type a name in the Rule Name box, such as "Hotmail Rule" if you are forwarding to your Hotmail account.
- Under the "Define Action" section enter the email address you regularly check.
- Click "Save" to save your rule.
Now all emails sent to your Trinity email address (whether from the library, faculty, fellow students, or the school) will be forwarded to your personal email account.
